Behind the Beat | OMG it’s Moby

Moby is one of the most interesting interviews I have done in my career thus far. He boasts one of the most impressive and longest-lasting careers in the dance music industry. In an interview produced by DJOYbeat and premiered on Only the Beat, Moby takes a moment to hang out and talk about 90’s club culture, his sleep habits, and getting blacked out. Watch below:

OMG it’s Moby

Moby and Lucky Date recently released a 20-second preview of a song that they plan to release with Spinnin’ Records in late March. The preview has received some scrutiny because it sounds like a build to a big-room festival anthem, and this is not what Moby has recently been known for. The legendary producer most recently released a downtempo album, Innocents, and the millennial generation might be confused by the switch-up in pace between projects. We must keep in mind, however, that Los Angeles-based DJ has been in the game for more than two decades and has worked on a variety of projects spanning different genres. Listen to the 20-second Moby / Lucky Date preview and then take a listen to one of Moby’s club-banger tracks from more than 20 years ago.
