Instant Party! (yes the exclamation point is part of his name), aka Kenny, is 23 years old from Seattle,WA. He has been producing for about 6 years and actually just started DJing a few months ago. If you couldn't tell from the title, he loves pizza and all things pizza related. You're probably intrigued because I mean who doesn't love pizza. Well I was lucky enough to ask Instant Party! himself a few questions! OTB: How did you come up with the name "Instant Party!"? Instant Party!: Well before Instant Party! I was quite the party guy. I partied a lot and kept the vibes going with my homies and people I've met and occasionally going to some house parties I would remember hearing from some friends saying "Ayyy the party is here!" So when I was sitting down thinking of a name, that came to mind... So I guess if I'm at the party, it's an instant party! It's a little corny, but hey, look where I am now. OTB: Do you think growing up in Washington has had an impact on your producing? Instant Party!: Most definitely. Washington gets attention to all four seasons, and from just our seasonal change I believe we have all kinds of people who move here, people who love the fall, people who love the winter, spring, and people who just enjoy all four seasons. With that amount of diversity it really makes you want to be as vibrant as the state has become. Being a part of Washington there is a lot to accept here and a lot of things to open your mind to. All of that influences who I am and who I am working on becoming. OTB: What would be your dream collab? Instant Party!: My dream collab would be to share the studio with Dillon Francis, Porter Robinson, Bro Safari, Timbaland, RL Grime, and GTA... There's some others I'm probably forgetting but these guys are legends to me. Don't get it twisted though, this list isn't in any particular order. As for who Instant Party! has already collaborated with, here are just a few. Firebeatz & KSHMR - No Heroes (Instant Party! vs. Party Thieves Remix) R3HAB & NERVO - Ready For The Weekend (FVCKDIVMONDS & Instant Party! Festival Remix) Sander Van Doorn, Martin Garrix, DVBBS ft. Aleesia - Gold Skies (Instant Party! x Skellism Remix) OTB: What's is your opinion on genres? Instant Party!: Genres? They exist because people like to classify things and label them. If there's something we don't know what it is, we want to know and so we come up with a generally acceptable term to call whatever that may be. In the industry though, people use the term "genre" hatefully and bash on artists when they decide to venture out of what they normally push out. As an upcoming artist, you kinda have to make a particular sound until you garner a decent fanbase, then you can venture away and do what you want because honestly, if your fans are true, they will love your music regardless what you put out. I'm the definition of that, I timely put out things completely different from what I am most known for and I honestly don't care what some people think but I know how to find my true fans through that aspect. OTB: What has it been like getting support from so many well know artists? Instant Party!: It's been amazing... To get recognition from people I've looked up to is a very promising feeling, it definitely has an ego boost to it but I'm constantly reminded to not take things for granted and keep my head straight with my music game, consistency is everything to me and it's a craft I am trying to perfect. OTB: What song has been your favorite to make if you had to pick one? Instant Party!: The song I had the most fun making would probably be my "Off To The Races" remix by Lana Del Rey or my original track called FLY which I produced with my good friend Breaux, we'll be releasing that song very shortly. Lana Del Rey - Off To The Races (Instant Party! Remix) OTB: Why Trap? Instant Party!: Why Trap? Because at the time when I made Instant Party! it was a groundbreaking sound to me and I knew it was going somewhere big but it just wasn't quite there yet. So I took that leverage and worked towards growing with the genre and trying to make it more than what a lot of people proclaim to say "it all sounds the same". OTB: What is next for Instant Party!? Instant Party!: We got a college tour lined up that is still in the works and just a lot of shows in general. What I want for Instant Party! though is to branch the sound and whatever we want while still maintaining a loving fan base. It's definitely going to be hard but we don't give up. I personally love Instant Party! and what he is trying to do in the producing world. I suggest you keep an eye out for him and his new music coming out!
