Lazy Sundays 04 (Mother’s Day)

I’d like to start off this week’s edition of Lazy Sundays by wishing all of the mothers reading this a very Happy Mother’s Day! I hope you get to enjoy a lovely day with your family. In the meantime, I will give you the “Lazy Sundays” feeling to show my regards.

Adam K & Kaskade – Raining (Deep House Mashup)

The first track this week is one that I stumbled upon last night. ‘Raining’ was always epic, but a deep house mashup? I really hope Kaskade considers producing deep house now that his “It’s You, It’s Me Redux” Tour is over. He’s damn good at spinning it. I’m still waiting for a high quality deep mix of “Atmosphere”.

Benny Benassi – Come Fly Away (Mobbing Remix)

This is an old favorite, but this remix is clearly better than the original. So much chill and tranquility in this remix.

Calvin Harris – Essential Mix 2011

It’s always a treat to hear a Calvin Harris live set. His essential mix from 2011 is a nice change of pace from what you’d expect to hear from Harris, now that he consistently produces mainstream #1 hits. Both styles are a win win for Electronic Dance Music.

Nicky Romero – Switched (Hardwell & DJ Funkadelic Remix)

The earlier days of Hardwell and Dannic, who flew under the radar with his techno alias DJ Funkadelic. This is an extremely rare remix to find, and one that I would love to see more of from the Revealed Recordings megastars. For those who don’t know, Nicky Romero started off producing tech and deep house.

Sander van Doorn & Adrian Lux ft. Inpetto – No More Serious Eagles (Jacob van Hage Mashup)

This track is for the dreamers, for the ones with massive ambition.

Cedric Gervais & Howard Jones – Things Can Only Get Better (Original Mix)

I always try to include one of the newest releases every week. Cedric Gervais hit it on the money with euphoric melodies and vocal samples from Howard Jones’ classic hit from the 1980s. Gervais is on a roll so far this year.

Jeremy Olander – Vivrant Radio 001

I am stoked that Olander has a radio show we can look forward to. He’s off to a great start with the first one. Download yourself a copy and put it on in the car, with the windows down. Have fun.

Fedde Le Grand – So Much Love (Original Club Mix)

This is one of the happiest tracks an Electronic Dance Music fan can listen to.  ‘So Much Love’  is just one of those tracks that can turn any day around out of nowhere.

Boyz 2 Men – A Song For Mama

To end this week’s edition of “Lazy Sundays”, I look no further than a track dedicated to all of the mothers out there. Enjoy.

I hope you enjoyed this week’s edition of Lazy Sundays. We’ll see you again next week.
