Lazy Sundays 12

Hello everyone. I hope you’ve had a productive, stress-free week. I think I speak for everyone when I say there should be a day between Sunday and Monday. Since that’s not possible, treat yourself to this new edition of Lazy Sundays. Enjoy.

Skytech, Fafaq & Alex – Feel The Energy (Sunrise Festival 2013 Anthem)

Skytech is clearly experimenting with this new festival anthem. A lot more on the electro/progressive house spectrum than big-room trance, ‘Feel The Energy’ is the appropriate theme for Sunrise. I’m a fan of this track.

Alex Tepper & Paul Harris – Mumbo Gumbo (Yousef Sensational Edit)

Yousef’s edit of ‘Mumbo Gumbo’ really has the perfect summertime feel. Drinks, beaches, palm trees. Tech house at its finest.

Basshunter – Welcome to Rainbow (Original Mix)

“This is the ultimate trance experience.” This track is really old. It’s crazy to think that Basshunter is still touring. ‘Welcome to Rainbow’ is the perfect nostalgia.

Cassio Kohl – Broken (Urulu Dub)

It’s been a deep house kind of week for me. I finally found this track after hearing it in so many different sets.

Chris Brown – Let’s Go (Quintino Bootleg)

Who remembers this? This is 10000000x better than the original. Quintino is the man.

Sasha – Never Say Never Mixmag (August 2013)  [FREE DOWNLOAD]

I just started listening to a lot of Sasha lately. His new set for Mixmag will definitely keep your attention. So chill.

Rusko – Everyday (DEFEP Remix)

I’m not sure this is a very popular remix, but I think it’s big-league and everyone should listen to it. A nice electro twist on one of the best dubstep tracks of 2011.

Fehrplay – Nightride (Original Mix)

I am a HUGE Fehrplay fan. His progressive sound is extremely unique, and will leave you in a rabbit hole for as long as Prydz and Olander can. I had the privilege of seeing Fehrplay in Miami back in March, and I cherished every second of it.

Kaskade – BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix 2011  [FREE DOWNLOAD]

This is the best essential mix of all-time, in my opinion. This mix is the equivalent to winning the Super Bowl. SO many memories were made with this essential mix. I can’t help but listen to it at least once a month. If you’ve never listened to it for some reason, here’s your chance. Kaskade in his prime.

I have decided to spoil you all with TWO “Old School Fire” tracks this week.

Old School Fire: DJ Sammy – We’re in Heaven (Techno Remix)

I don’t think there’s anyone out there who didn’t love this song 7-8 years ago. This was my one of my favorite tracks during my sophomore year of college back in 2006. Such a timeless classic. Never gets old.

Old School Fire: Scatman John – Scatman

Ski bi di bi di do bap do / Do bam do / Bada bwi ba ba bada bo / Baba ba da bo / Bwi ba ba ba do [x2] / I’m the scatman!

Lazy Sundays, Lazy Sundays, Lazy Sundays. What would we do without you? I’ll see you again next week friends. Cheers.
