Lazy Sundays 35 (Super Bowl XLVIII)

Super Bowl XLVIII is here! What better way to spend the big game than with an appetizer and dessert of Lazy Sundays!?

Pretty Lights – Still Night (Gramatik Remix)

Gramatik’s remix gets it.

UMEK & Groovebox – Sweet Harmony (Original Mix)

UMEK & Groovebox’s newest single, ‘Sweet Harmony’ is out NOW on Spinnin’ Records. The grooves are real proper, and is a nice homage paid to the original track, ‘Alright’ by Red Carpet.

Super Bowl XLVIII Fire: Travie McCoy ft. Bruno Mars – Billionaire

There’s nothing more appropriate this weekend than including hits from Super Bowl half-time performers in Lazy Sundays 35. What up Oprah!?

Boris – Deep In The Jungle Podcast (December 2011)

Boris’s ‘Deep In The Jungle Podcast’ from December 2011 is my favorite Boris mix. It’s hard to find online nowadays, but if you know how to search, you can find this and other older Boris sets that are sensational. TRIBAL.

Erick Morillo – Dancin’ (Fuzzy Hair Remix)

Wow. I just came across Fuzzy Hair’s remix of Erick Morillo’s classic, ‘Dancin”. Unbelievable.

you told me to meet you here,
but I couldn’t get in…
I was told you were dancing,
and your hands were everywhere..
Did you know her?
is she a friend?
I know you know the doorman,
did you tell him not to let me in?
I see how things go now,
you just use me for my thrills..
Go ahead and keep on dancing…
cause I got the pills     (Disclaimer: I DO NOT condone drug use of any kind)

Porter Robinson – Say My Name (Original Mix)

“Say my name, and you can say it with honor.” BOOM.

Richie Hawtin – Live @ Pete’s Pool Party (Surfcomber Hotel, WMC 2011)

Richie’s Hawtin’s WMC 2011 set is SUCH an EXTREMELY RARE find. You need to check this out.

C-Block – So Strung Out (Christian Cardwell & Nigel Stately Remix)

Tiesto dropped this deep house remix in his Essential Mix yesterday. It was my favorite track of the mix (which was awesome, but I expected that, considering it was deep house). I feel like I’m stuck in between Love Boat and Miami Vice with this one.

Avicii & Nicky Romero – Nicktim (F*k School) (Original Mix)

I like ‘Nicktim’ more than ‘I Could Be The One.’ I just don’t think the added vocals were needed. Regardless, the melody always puts me in a great mood, and reminds me of summertime (which needs to hurry up by the way!)

Super Bowl XLVIII Fire: Red Hot Chili Peppers – Can’t Stop

We end Lazy Sundays 35 this week with the other half of the Super Bowl half-time performers. ‘Can’t Stop’ is always on point.

“Can’t stop, addicted to the shindig
Chop top, he says I’m gonna win big.”

I hope you enjoyed this week’s episode of Lazy Sundays. Enjoy your Super Bowl celebrations. I’ll catch you here next weekend.
