Lazy Sundays 45

Lazy Sundays 45 showcases Dusky’s EDC Las Vegas 2014 set, a RARE collaboration from Carl Cox and Paul Van Dyk back in 1997, Markus Schulz’s return to Ibiza Summer Sessions, and my handpicked flavors in tech house, techno, and other genres this week.

I’d also like to introduce Reggae Revival this week! I feel that including a reggae favorite from the past in each episode of Lazy Sundays is a unique addition, but also a clutch one. Let me know what some of your favorite reggae favorites are!

Steve Lawler – Do Ya (Hot Since 82 Remix) [VIVA]

Hot Since 82. What needs to be said about the modern deep house guru? His remix of Steve Lawler’s “Do Ya” has everyone singing and dancing, like every Hot Since 82 production ever.

Pirupa – Black Form (Original Club Mix) [TOOLROOM]

Wow. Pirupa’s newest release, “Black Form,” is set to release on Beatport tomorrow, and is a fresh summer jam. It’s easy to see why “Black Form”  is a part of Toolroom’s “Ibiza Underground 2014” compilation.

Pirupa is the architect behind festival staple  “Party Non Stop.” I am confident that “Black Form” will earn its stripes in festival sets and mixtapes for the rest of the year.

Dusky – EDC Las Vegas 2014, neonGARDEN (Day 3)

Amidst the overwhelming flood of EDC live set uploads this week, Dusky’s visit to Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas was overlooked. The irony in this is that Dusky’s set is arguably one of the top dogs from the weekend.

If you ever find yourself in position to introduce Dusky to a friend or family member, this set would be my recommendation.

Slightly Stoopid – See It No Other Way **REGGAE REVIVAL**

It’s reggae mon! Positive vibrations mon! Me no see no other way, but me no see no other way. The one way me seeing is the righteous way!

Franck Roger & Mandel Turner – After All (D’julz Remix) [REAL TONE]

“After All” is a timeless tech house masterpiece, and D’julz crafted the most appropriate remix.

“After all is said and done, Is there a need to keep holding on, after all the love is gone? Keep on searching. Keep on searching.”

The Tenth Chapter – Prologue (The Carl Cox & Paul van Dyk Mix) [EDEL]

Yeah, so this happened back in 1997. Do any of you even remember this? I just finally discovered this.

Matisse & Sadko – Sigure [SPINNIN]

“Sigure” is my favorite hype track for Summer 2014. This electro bomb has it all.

Markus Schulz – Global DJ Broadcast: Ibiza Summer Sessions Opening 2014

Another summer is upon us, and that means Markus Schulz and Ibiza Summer Sessions are back in session. This mix though. You must listen to this all the through at least twice.

Harvey McKay – Something Good [INTEC]

“Something Good” is one of my key up-lifting summer grooves. Harvey McKay has been dominate in 2014.

Arty feat. Chris James – Together We Are [BIG BEAT]

Lazy Sundays comes to a close this week with the ultimate adrenaline rush. Arty and Chris James really took it to another level when they released “Together We Are” last year.

Lazy Sundays showcases music that is relaxing and really enjoyable for a Sunday. Heavy emphasis on techno, tech house, and deep house.
