American singer/songwriter JES is a definitely a legend in the Electric Dance Music industry.  JES has been providing insanely great vocals on tracks of her own and as a feature since the early 2000’s. After being signed to Tiesto's record label in 2006, JES has found great success and has released multiple albums completely revolutionizing the industry. Based on her wildly popular weekly mix show, the songstress releases her quarterly “Unleash The Beat” mixes of her favorite songs of the season. When it comes to this summer’s mix, she absolutely does not disappoint. “Unleash The Beat - Blonde” features 14 awesome tracks that you have to add to your summer playlist. The mix features incredible EDM artists like Cold Blue, Dennis Sheperd, BT, Manufactured Superstars and Robbie Rivera. Three tracks on the mix really stood out to me.

 1. Runaway [Original Mix] - JES, Cold Blue & Dennis Sheperd

I am always critical on how artists kick off their mixes because it will A. set the tone for the mix, and B. either entice listeners, or push them away.  JES kick starts this explosive mix with her original song, “Runaway” featuring Cold Blue and Dennis Sheperd, and I could not think of a more perfect way to start it. I cannot get this track out of my head.  The Trance song is refreshing and incredibly easy on the ears.  JES’s vocals are outstanding and hit hard, and after listening to the first song I couldn't wait to hear what was up next in the mix.  2. Starlight [Manufactured Superstars Remix] - Robbie Rivera

When I listen to this track, all I think is…SUMMER!  At around the 18-minute mark come the Manufactured Superstar’s Electro House remix of Robbie Rivera’s “Starlight,” and the mix really picks up.  I can see myself jamming out to this track at a summer festival or honestly just in my car.  I love how it starts off a little calm, and almost unexpectedly, the drop hits hard and you will start fist pumping whether you mean to or not. I think this is one of the most crucial tracks in the mix because it gets you in the mood to rage to the rest of the mix, and that is what summer is all about.  3. Like A Waterfall [Solarstone Pure Mix] - Solarstone & JES

The last track I wanted to touch on is Solarstone’s Pure Remix to JES’s popular tune, “Like a Waterfall.”  This is one of JES”s biggest tracks, so the remix has to feel just as big, and it does.  Like I said, I am critical of the first track in mixes, and I am almost equally as critical as the final track because that is what the listener is going to leave with, and probably what they will remember most about the mix, so it has to be epic. I think JES made a great choice putting this song last. This remix to “Like a Waterfall” has more of an uplifting style of Trance to it. Like most of JES’s tunes, the melody is contagious in this track and she provides very awesome vocals with almost a soft whisper that really grasps you and makes you feel the emotion of the lyric. [soundcloud url="" params="color=0093c9&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=false&show_user=true&show_reposts=false" width="100%" height="166" iframe="true" /] “Unleash the Beat (Blonde Mix)” is pretty impressive in my eyes.  It includes tracks of a wide array of genres, and will put you in the perfect mood for the summer.  The mix is out on all major digital retailers now.
