Not only was EDC Las Vegas 2012 the largest EDC ever, with over 90 thousand people in attendance each night, it was also one of the biggest cluster fucks I've ever been a part of. It didn't kick in until I stood at the top of the Las Vegas Motor Speedway bleachers and looked out across the five stages of music madness, I'd never seen so many people in one place at one time before. Now imagine all those people trying to get to the same place at the same time. Or how about all those people trying to leave the event in the morning. I have a few ridiculous stories about the transportation situation that I'll get into later, but to make a long story short, the traffic situation was absolutely out of control. To the point that the one DJ I really wanted to see, Mat Zo, (besides Armin
) didn't even make it to the event in time for his set. Gabriel & Dresden
literally had to get out of their ride and walk over 2 miles to get to the event in time for their set. I found him stumbling around by himself at the Group Therapy stage and got to chat for a bit, he has always been a super chill dude, and I'm looking forward to seeing him on The Language Tour in Tempe, AZ this July.
Anyways, since Mat never got to perform at EDC, he just posted this hour-long set on his Soundcloud page
, eloquently titled: (What Would Have Been) EDC Set....Enjoy!
