I am the #1 Armin Van Buuren fan out there. Ok, I'm in like the top 15% of his fans, I don't think even I would want to be associated with Armin Van Buuren's #1 fan...he/she would probably be a little bit nuts. Anyways, I am a huge fan, I credit Armin with re-energizing my passion for Trance and bringing be back into the #TranceFamily in college. That being said, I really love this new track with Trevor Guthrie, I mean, I really love the way it sounds. Great hook, the vocals are solid, and its got that classic catchy Armin melody going on.
But this video, is just odd. I feel like it's an over zealous attempt to connect the song to American culture. From the slightly corny use of Ford Mustangs to Trevor Guthrie's country singer styled hair cut, the whole thing screams "What's up America! Please connect with me on some sort of emotional level, thanks!" Not to mention, I listened to Trevor Guthrie sing this song live at Ultra the first weekend and he buuuutchered it. Oh well, still really like the song...but let me know what YOU think in the comments section below. Cheers!
