June 18, 2013 -- Santa Monica, CA -- The stage is set for the final battle in Campus DJ's nationwide search to find the best college DJ in America! The National Finale will be held in Los Angeles this Thursday, June 20th at the historic Avalon Hollywood, kicking off at 8pm. This year’s winning Campus DJ will be awarded a 4-door 2013 MINI Cooper S Countryman and a touring package with Live Nation, and additional prizing from Dubbler, Chegg, Jabra, and Monster Energy. “While there are other DJ competitions, this is the only one fueled exclusively by college DJs," co-founder Evan Shapiro said. "We're lucky to have great sponsors and prizes to support and help roll out the first-ever events!” The National Finale event will feature special guest headlining performance from pop music producer The Cataracs, who also attended college at SFSU early in his music career. The Cataracs recently collaborated with highly-acclaimed EDM DJ Martin Solveig on their hit single 'Hey Now' feat. Kyle. View the official music video below
