The summer is heating up with three offerings from DATSIK’s FIREPOWER arsenal. This month look out for stellar new releases from label favorites GETTER, BARRON and newcomer DIAMOND PISTOLS:

Out now is the SMASHER EP from GETTER.  Building upon the success of his debut album I Want More, the new EP features seven raw and dynamic original tracks. The title track breaks through with a whirlwind of thrashing drums and synths while the background vocals command you to “bounce.” Once the beat clears, an explosion of bass is let loose with the follow-up track “Knives.”  Then, joining forces with DJ/producer Trampa, Getter funnels a chilling beat through sinister giggles and roaring bass with “Bonesaw.” The hair-raising productions continue with “Cannibal” and “Hatchets”; 12 Gauge accompanies Getter on the penultimate track “Slam”; and powerfully closing out the SMASHER EP“Swamper” unites Getter’s signature, guttural bass with a looming assembly of percussion methods and jerky synths.  Still early in his career, Tanner Petulla aka Getter has asserted himself as one of the most consistent and significant talents to emerge from the international bass scene in the last few years. A stalwart of the FIREPOWER stable, Getter continues his prolific run of form with his new SMASHER EP. Purchase SMASHER on Beatport: HERE

July 16 means it’s time to get HEATED, the newest EP from FIREPOWER staple, Baltimore’s BARRON.  The follow-up to his Warborn debut EP, HEATED consists of five studio productions, two of which are collaborations with Gravity—a remix of “Heated” and “Earthquake.” The other tracks are “The Behemoth,” “Decimation”and “Gunshot Killer.”  These selections resonate on your home system or back door dance hall. On July 30, FIREPOWER will unleash Wildstyle, the debut EP from newcomer DIAMOND PISTOLS.  Hailing from the Pacific Northwest, DIAMOND PISTOLS is the explosive moniker of Christian Dold, whose support comes from such bass music heavy-hitters as Excision, Datsik, Adventure Club, Reid Speed and Helicopter Showdown. The four tracks on Wildstyle —“Original Selecta,” “Wildstyle,” “Bedtime” featuringFIREPOWER label mate AFK and “Let Yourself Go”—are bass-packed sonic bullets. Get loaded.
