OTB Writer of the Month | June 2014

We have a lot of amazing people on our team here at Only The beat that keep this site running. A lot of them operate behind the scenes, some in front, but regardless of what they do here at OTB, I want to make sure we're giving recognition where recognition's due. As the CEO of Only The Beat, I'm kicking things off this month by recognizing one writer who's gone above & beyond (pun intended) his basic duties to help elevate us to a higher level, which is ultimately where we want to be: Your #1 source for thought provoking and life changing electronic dance music content. I recently did a podcast interview with the Final Clock Out where I talked about my entrepreneurial journey and the struggles I've faced while building Only The Beat. Throughout the interview I talk a lot about our team, and how important each persons individual contribution is to the overall success of the site. Success is never a solo endeavor. I could never have done any of this alone, and every night before I go to sleep I remind myself to be thankful for the passionate people I have around me, and consider myself even luckier to call them my friends. Another thing I mentioned in the interview is that OTB is going to start put a large emphasis on supporting and showcasing our writers moving forward. Eventually we will build this directly into our website (something I talk a bit about as well), but for now, I feel like the best way to recognize our Writer of the Month will be through a series of blog posts, one each month, this being the first. June's writer of the month award goes to one of our PNW reporters Matt Jager. Matt put together a series of Paradiso artist spotlights that eventually turned into what we called the Paradiso Spotlight Portal; I'd encourage you to check it out if you haven't already. His work is consistently high quality and his passion is rivaled only by his skill. Follow Matt on twittermatt-jager         Thank you for all of your hard work Matt, and thank all of you who read this blog for supporting us!
