Remixes have long been the bedrock for the dance music industry, as platforms like SoundCloud allowed aspiring artists to share their own unique take of a hit with the world. Official remixes for artists have helped springboard a number of promising artists into the spotlight, most notably recent up-and-comers like Hotel Garuda, Le Youth, and Gryffin.
Since his emergence onto the scene, Duke Dumont has been considered in the elite tier of house producers. Nearly everything the Blase Boys Club boss has put out has been a hit, including two Grammy nominated tracks in “Need U (100%)” and “I Got U” within the last year, and one of this summer’s biggest hits in “Ocean Drive,” which is getting its own official remixes by the emerging Australian star, Hayden James, and future house newcomer, Shaun Frank.
Up first on the remix pack is Hayden James, who infuses “Ocean Drive” with his distinct take on house. Bubbly bass lines meet a reverbed-out atmosphere and smooth guitar chords to give the dance-pop hit a complete makeover, while Shaun Frank does what he does best by turning “Ocean Drive” into a dance floor sparker.
