Using the Choke Feature in Ableton Live’s Drum Racks

This week I’m going to go over the Choke feature in Ableton Live’s Drum Racks. I recently started a new song where I needed to have my kick drums cut each other. If I didn’t do this they would have overlapped and muddied up the low end to something completely indiscernible.

The choke feature can be a handy tool not just for building drum racks using percussion, but also for creative ways using vocals, or also even resampling down some of your synth stabs to get some interesting rhythms that you could’t get without resampling them.

I will leave a link below as well to the song that I put together under a side alias I started recently.

I hope the video helps and if you have any questions or comments feel free to leave them below!
