Now, I'm definitely one for supporting local artists. Local artists that really create awesome music? That's a bonus.
The trio of Suspect 44
consists of Luke Shipstad, Hoz Sabirr and Zhiar Mahmoud, who create their tracks bi-continenally in the US and in The Netherlands. Their catchy progressive house and trance tunes have always been a big fan of ours here at Only The Beat, and our Seattle roots make our love for these guys even stronger.
The melody of "Run To Me" (a collab with Vancouver, B.C.-based Soar
) is incredibly infectious, with an uplifting sound that will make you want to add it to your latest "Get Stoked for Festival Season" playlist. Suspect 44 are no stranger to festival sets, frequenting many Seattle-area massives including June's Paradiso Festival
at The Gorge.
If you're in the Seattle area, the group freqently opens for artists over at Foundation Nightclub. Suspect 44 tracks have been heard on Above & Beyond's
weekly Group Therapy podcasts and have made it on albums like Estiva & Juventa's Enhanced Sessions Volume Four.
Our favorite hit? "I Feel It" clocked in on Beatport's Top 10 for Progressive House and has remained in the Top 100 for weeks. Want to check out Suspect 44 live? Be sure to stay up to date with their tour schedule here.
