2015 – The year of the Dirty Bird!
It’s no secret that the underground is usually one festival season ahead of the main stage. Last year, acts like Oliver Heldens and Tchami pushed deep house from dingy lofts onto the mainstream with their (respective) tracks Gecko and MYB.
If Ultra and Coachella are any indicators of what’s to come, I think we’re in for a lot of Techno and Tech House in 2015. When it comes to picking my horses, I’m in love with everything that Dirty Bird has been doing lately. When I go to raves, I STILL hear people talking about Claude VonStroke‘s closing set at movement last year. Even traditionally deep Oliver Heldens is starting to take note. This past Saturday, he played Shiba San’s Okay in his most recent Heldeep Radio set.
While the marketplace has been driven by singles in the past five years, Dirty Bird producer Kill Frenzy hasn’t seemed to notice. His most recent album, TAYLR SWFT is complete album that is JAM PACKED with awesome.
The following video gives you a great little window into his creative process and I must say, as a DJ who would eventually aspire to do some producing, it’s fun to watch the way he uses the tools at his disposal.
