Arizon's "Leaving" featuring Ryan Ellingson has been reinvented by Britain's own Culture Code. Glorious chill-step with some sss-serious uplifting (thank you Armin).
Here some info about Culture Code: 2010 in the UK, Chris (Culture Code) inspired by Adventure Club, Krewella, and Nero began producing electronic music . In 2012, Culture Code was offered the chance to remix Adventure Club’s “Wait” and since then has produced official remixes for artists such as Krewella and Kevin Drew’s track "Summer Ashes" which charted in the Dubstep genre as #2 for over a week and a half. Now, Culture Code has been working on his first EP and plans to release it sometime in 2014.
Brilliant EQ work create a picture of serenity. A short and sweet intro bring us into Ryan Ellingson's powerful vocals. I love the lyrics of this track, bringing up many strong images. The breakdown goes into the lead synth arpeggiator which was really strong and well mixed but I thought we were going into a trance release, so when the half-time beat kicked in I almost flew out of my chair. I haven't really listened to chillstep so I had no clue to expect such a thing. After recovery, I couldn't help but play and play again on repeat because of how strong the whole production is. I'm so glad I was offered the opportunity to review Culture Code's "Leaving" remix because IMO this is a wonderful take on dubstep. Go support this track!
