As featured on Andy Moor's "Breaking The Silence, Vol. 3"
compilation last week, Iranian producer Masoud
offers us a new springtime groove with the beautiful Aneym
! Progressive tracks aren't usually my cup of tea but spring has come so let's celebrate. For more Masoud, check out his bi-weekly radio show on Afterhours.FM called "The Caspian Sessions"
Without further delaying the warmth of spring, here's a taste of "No More":
Dem vocals! Aneym
(Anna Mielniczuk) delivers a heartwarming performance backed by Masoud's master-level production. You can tell when a producer has matured by their EQ's and how they balance such complexity. Not only do you have fully stacked instruments but a phase on the bass and panned vocal sampling (doesn't sound like a lot? It is). What really got me was what sounded like a storm in the breakdown, the imagery blew me away! The soft keys frame an image of emotion, then when the gentle guitar strums come you will know this is what this song is about. Despite some of the Soundcloud comments, I really enjoyed the feel of the drop. It wasn't a fist-pumping ham-fest but it captured the emotional personality of the song. 's career basically started when he collaborated with Jaren Cerf on a track called "Leave It All Behind" on Ferry's Flashover Recordings. His follow-up was a remix of "Staring At The Sea" which was supported by Above & Beyond and hit top 20 on Beatport. A big moment came when he collaborated with Cerf again to make "Blinded" which got tune of the week on ASOT #453 and tune of the month on Corsten's Countdown. Later, in 2011 Masoud was signed to Armada and released his "Arlanda" remix on A State Of Trance Records.
I am really looking forward to an amazing spring/summer full of more great tracks from Masoud!
