In the time that I've been listening to electronic dance music, I've rarely ever heard anyone say, "Wow, this big room club mix is absolutely euphoric," when talking about a trance track...unless the remix was done by Above & Beyond. But there's a new artists emerging, one that's actually adding to the conversation instead of detracting from it, say hello to Jason Ross. Jason Ross Gravity Remix Usually club remixes of songs are all about the dancing and bass, and a lot less about beauty or being uplifting. That is, until someone comes along and combines the euphoric and clubby elements into one incredible track. Jason Ross whaaat Rewind to three weeks ago. I'm listening to Group Therapy 093 live and it is time for the Record of the Week. Paavo starts talking about how in love he is with a track called "Gravity" by Parker & Hanson, and I would absolutely have to agree with him. "Gravity" is an absolutely outstanding and beautiful track, and if you have not heard it yet, listen to it. Right now.

Parker & Hanson - Gravity (Original Mix)

Now that you have heard the original version of "Gravity," let's continue along with Paavo. He starts saying that he is thrilled to share the first official remix of this amazing track done by a brand new member of the Anjunabeats family, Jason Ross. I started thinking to myself: "Wow, this is quite the track to try and take on for a remix. It will probably be alright." Intrigued, but with no expectations, I proceeded to turn up the volume and sit back in my chair. The song starts, and within a few seconds, to my surprise, it is heavy. I couldn't even believe what I was hearing. The bass was just pummeling over and over, and I immediately minimized all of my other windows and shifted all of my attention to the track. Jason Ross attention grabber I turned my speakers up again and could not stop listening. Just like that, in a matter of seconds I was devoting all of my attention to this remix. It started off very club-like, but soon it changed to the beautiful piano melody of the original mix. I was really happy to hear that Jason Ross had kept a sizable section of this melody intact. As the remix progressed I noticed little bits and pieces sprinkled throughout that really boosted the overall elegance of the track, such as the extended strings in the background of the main melody. Jason Ross fuses the powerful melody with the club-like background of the beginning to create an absolute masterpiece of a remix. When it gets to the climax of the track I'm legitimately at a loss for words. Jason Ross impressed Now it is your turn. Listen to this remix and be prepared to be blown away. Let us know what you think of the remix in the comments below!
