Andrew Bayer is “Super Human” w/ Do Androids Dream EP &Tour
Move over Clark Kent, Superman has been stolen by Anjunabeats’ own Andrew Bayer. On the heels of Above & Beyond’s tour across North America, Andrew is announcing his Do Androids Dream Part 2 Tour starting April 16 in Washington D.C. The only thing that can make this better is new music! Oh wait, he’s added that too.
Before the tour kicks off though, Bayer is releasing his newest EP or “mini-album” of the same name, Do Androids Dream. The new 5 track EP is promising to be an experimental journey as the London native promises to blur genres incorporating Danish songwriter Asbjorn. If you need proof, check out the first single from the EP “Super Human” which will be available March 23rd.
Andrew Bayer feat. Asbjorn – Super Human
Pretty genre blurring isn’t it? After getting premiered on ABGT 100 at Madison Square Garden, many people, including Above and Beyond have been digging this tune and awaiting the official release. What starts off as beautiful trance, Andrew turns it into a heartfelt vocal tune with the genre defying voice of Asbjorn. That’s not the end though as Andrew incorporates a massive progressive melody that deserves to be in everyone’s library. If this tune is any indication of what the EP will sound like, the world might shatter when it’s released.
“The Do Androids Dream project is about joining the dots between the different musical landscapes that I have moved in over the past 5 years or so, but also about putting my club sound at the heart of the experience,” explains Bayer. “Do Androids Dream Part 1 and Part 2 are very epic and unravel over several minutes… They’re essentially clubby progressive tracks. The lead track Super Human with Asbjørn has an indie-sensibility at its heart, but is actually a real peak time anthem in my sets, before Tomorrow Boys explores the glitchy electronica of ‘If It Were You, We’d Never Leave,’ but blended with the song writing skills of Asbjorn.”
Andrew Bayer is sure to set the world on fire with this new EP and will follow up with what is quickly becoming one of the premier tours in 2015. He will be touring at some of the best locations in North America including Washington D.C., San Francisco, Vancouver, New York, Chicago and Toronto. Check out the tour dates below.
