LOCOJA Grooves ‘Lost in The Crowd’ into a Chill Trap Beast
As hype for his Noise vs. Beauty remix album grows by the day, we can take a breather as Bassnectar released the second single from the album. LOCOJA, a Mexican producer, decided to remix ‘Lost In The Crowd’ an eerie, heavy hitting trap beat and infused it with some chill vibes to warm our hearts.
The opening verse receives a bouncey synth beat that puts smiles on everybody’s faces. Fashawn’s lyrics come out clean as the additions accentuate the rap with a smooth chill vibe. The build-up perfectly marks the drop with the words, “Well, you can never get enough” as a powerful chill trap melody drops into the tune. With excellent keyboard work meshing with the trap beat, LOCOJA changes the original from a hard trap beat to a hands-in-the-air groovy style tune.
It is no surprise that Bassnectar approved this monster track. This even got played at Tomorrowworld during his set. The tune creates a brilliant feel, while including some masterful production from LOCOJA. While I have never heard of LOCOJA, this Mexican producer definitely needs to be recognized. While I haven’t heard anything else from him, maybe we should consider him as a contender for artist to watch in 2015? I can’t wait to hear more from this album as both of the released tunes have been top-notch. Remix album of the year anyone?
Check out the song below and make sure to look for Bassnectar tickets for his new tour. Half of the stops are already sold out so get them fast. Make sure to keep Lorin in your mind as he will continue to release a tune each week from the album. Happy Listening!
