Nine Lives Shows us what he can do with Louis The Child’s, “It’s Strange”
I think we already won 2016 guys.
It seems as though we haven’t heard from Nine Lives since last year’s trapped out release of Morten’s, “Beautiful Heartbeat,” but Nine Lives lives to tell another tale. This time, transforming Louis The Child and K-Flay’s originally Gumby-styled dance tune into a sentimentally slower and trap induced chill session.
Louis The Child and K-Flay were able to garner the likes of Taylor Swift a while back, and I am sure Nine Lives’ re-imagined melodic electronica rendition would do the same. The track almost immediately grabs your attention with its unique, warm and glowing sound that it is attained from start to finish.
The misty and downtempo’d ambient rework will be released on New Wave Records on January 15th, along with the 19 others that are set to dominate the blogosphere. Other renditions are provided by Candyland, DJ Soysauce, Jailo, and The Knocks and are available for purchase here!
The best part is that all the proceeds from sales will go straight to Kiva. It is not the first time we have seen our favorite producers giving back. In fact, the boys of Soysauce did something similar with their Lunch Money EP release, as all their proceeds went to the Backpack Program.
The polished piece is enough to immerse yourself into, especially considering trap is too much of a saturated genre that allows its creators to stay more upbeat. Continue to keep your eyes and ears on all things Nine Lives and follow his stream of conscientiousness.
